Our Neighborhood
For nine years we were so proud to call 94 Orchard Street our beer home and flagship in the heart of New York City's Lower East Side. Our hearts broke when the landlord sold the building.
First known as Kleindeutschland, or "Little Germany," later a Jewish enclave, the neighborhood has been home to immigrants from the mid 19th Century to the present day. The street's past as the heart of the immigrant experience is captured at the Lower East Side Tenement Museum directly across the street from our original 94 Orchard Street Flagship. We were so enamored with the neighborhood that we thankfully opted to add a satellite location at the Essex Market, just two blocks from Orchard Street. Beyond the attractions of the Tenement Museum and the newly opened International Center for Photography, this corner of NYC is home to many of the city's best bars, restaurants, shops and, most importantly, people.
We loved Orchard Street and continue to love our Essex Market home and trust that you will too. Please stay tuned for updates on our presence in the neighborhood we so adore.
